What about actual out the door cost for comparable, equal, option levels? One example to consider might be the $2000 white paint option on Tesla.

I would expect the Bolt to be thousands less. True?

Right now if you go to cars.com and search for new Bolts (using a Los Angeles zip code) I'm seeing a lot of new LT Bolts for 28k. It's hard to tell if that's a real price or just games the dealers are playing. But yes once you add a color to the Model 3 SR+ and autopilot it's a bit expensive. But at that point I think you're really cross shopping Audi A4 and BMW 3 series. So it's not really fair to compare the Model 3 with the Bolt. The other day I saw a really dirty Bolt with a mountain bike partially disassembled in the back for transportation. I just don't think anyone would do that with their Model 3.

Pro for the Bolt: you can open the hatch in the rain without a river pouring into your trunk area.
Skip to halfway through the vid.
I know, I know, the Tesla fanboi response is "move to somewhere it doesn't rain" and "a responsible Tesla owner carries a Tesla branded squeegee with them at a times."

Pretty bad oversight. Surprised they didn't catch and correct that problem. I'd probably install a small rubber squeegee on the bottom glass to slow/divert water from jumping into the trunk.

Give me absolute safety, or give me death!

People complain about the "fangs" created by the light clusters on the open hatch door of the Bolt, but I've wondered whether these are a deliberate design feature intended to channel dripping rain away from the hatch opening...

Here's probably the most in depth analysis of the Bolt, i3 and Model 3 yet.

Saw this video come out today. I am really digging the Super Charger Lounges! Very nice.

@Vertiformed

Your summary was better than the video IMHO. Being a Bolt owner and only having driven a TM3 for .5 hours, my additional comments would be.

TM3 service & reliability, if you need parts, etc...

I felt the seating position of the TM3 and ease of getting in and out was a bigger deal for me than the minor mention

The single display, they need an option for some of us of a classic dashboard, just copy the Bolt!

Exactly. I haven't checked this year but last year they were nowhere as close as the sticker price would lead you to believe.

Plus, let me know when Tesla starts leasing any TM3 for $250/month with $2,200 down and 12k miles/ year. ( Yes, I know they don't lease )
