Eibach Lowering Springs Now Shipping

Thanks for your continued support of www.ev-mods.com . 4 members already have orders in for Eibach's Pro-Kit https://ev-mods.com/collections/chev...op-coming-soon . As of today June 14, 2019 these springs are now shipping. EV-MODS Chevy Bolt was the test vehicle for this kit. Here are our impressions:
  • Similar ride to stock on freeway or driving "normally". When we first had these installed it almost felt like they were softer than stock cruising down the FWY.
  • Much firmer than stock through stroke / wheel travel. As soon as you start cornering aggressively or hit a big G-Out you realize these are more progressive than stock. Past the first inches of travel these are much firmer than stock.
  • Reduced Body Roll and Improved Cornering. These Springs helped the EV-MODS 2018 Bolt EV wind the EV Class in Las Vegas of the www.driveusca.com televised series.

I'd prefer not to lower my car - any progress on an easily-installable rear swaybar?

Shipping update, I should have my springs by Wednesday evening!

I didn't get these for handling upgrade, (that will be a bonus) I got them to in hopes of seeing an improvement in high speed efficiency since I actually road trip my Bolt a lot, and there are still some areas where charging stations are far enough apart that a bit of extra efficiency would be welcome

Let us know what kind of improvement you see, if any.

It seems as though they have this one-

https://ev-mods.com/collections/chev...uze-chevy-volt

It looks like a pretty easy install to me.

  1. Drill two new holes next to the old ones. Hopefully they tell you where to drill and what size.
  2. Go find longer bolts than the ones they ship with it. Hopefully they tell you what you need and it's not hard to find.
  3. Install with just those two new bolts in the two new holes.
  4. Set fire to your warranty card and enjoy the show.

There has been lots of discussion around the install of this bar, hence the question. Your response shows you are not aware of the current situation and custom work which is required.

Also, as a "Super Moderator" I'd hope you'd refrain from opinion and stick more to facts. Your last comment:

Unless the installed part causes a failure that can be traced back to the part, then there are NO ISSUES with your warranty. Installing a sway bar doesn't void your warranty at all. A motor failure, electronics failure, and all other non related to the sway bar install issues are still covered under the warranty.

A) You only need one new hole (look closely at the EV-MODS image), B) drilling spring steel is quite difficult and risks overheating and detempering the bar.

There is an issue re. the end-point mounts, which do not appear to fit the D-shaped holes in the Bolt suspension arms. One enterprising owner machined custom mounts (https://www.chevybolt.org/forum/9-20...tml#post503795). Do some searching on the forum.

Bottom line is that this is not a straightforward installation. (If it was, I'd have one by now.)

But Hey, please buy the bar and install it, and let us know how it goes.
