New Roads Covergirl (again), the Bolt

Couple of nice feature articles, and an official listing of 0-60 in 6.5 sec.

Expectations rise, back in the day I thought my 1985 Z/28 was quick at 7.2 sec. Now that I think about it, weight and HP weren't all that dissimilar, and the Camaro had RWD and fat tires.

6.5 is one of the slower times. Alex on Autos got 6.2 as did some of the car magazines. I think high 5's are possible on a prepped track or rough asphalt with better traction and a little "pre-torquing" of the motor using the brake and the gas on the start.

This is one of my favorite stop light tricks. It's so easy to do in an EV with the brake and the accelerator. It would be a lot tougher if you are using gas to not let the engine stall out or fry up your clutch

Regarding the New Roads magazine, there is also a little blurb on page 7 entitled "Chevy Plans New EV". It's not much, but if they are putting it in print, it's a little more official than internet rumblings. (Yes, I know we have seen the spy shots, but now all Chevy owners have effectively been told).

Are you mentioning the Ferrari 308 GT from the original "Magnum, P.I." series with Tom Selleck? There is a new series with a newer Ferrari on CBS:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7942796/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnum...2018_TV_series)

The newer Ferrari is the 488 Spider. Go and check its 0 to 60 numbers.
