Hey everyone I’m new to the forum and I just got my first car/EV car and I gotta say the car is great got it used with 23k miles on it and it’s been a blast. I’ve been getting used to driving it the best I Can and I didn’t know you could get 4kw + per miles and with my current route structure I’m cracking 300 miles on the guess o meter at 90% charge don’t know if that means anything as the estimate changes but it’s a milestone for me. Was also curious to ask anyone who may know what range difference does lighter rims and wheels do for the Bolt I’m really trying to crack 325 + miles if possible

The estimate is based on previous driving patterns, so you may or may not come close to that or even exceed it. I have a 2017 Premier (which I love) and am lucky to break 200 miles per full charge, but I have a heavy foot.

Regardless, it's a great car and you're going to love it. Congrats and welcome!

Thanks man I hope to stagnate the range prediction or get close to the prediction it’s giving me I’m a pretty careful drive I usually drive at or 5 miles lower than the speed limit on streets and 55-60miles on the freeway here in California but it’s hard to go at that speed considering the drivers here. Also probably should go a little faster but I NEED THAT RANGE lol

I also found a used 2017 Premier in Arctic Blue I just LOVE with dc quick charge and now thats the only way I charge it at a medium "quick" charger at 20kw rate. At least its not at max 50 kw rate
Ive never seen 300 range no matter how easy I take things.
Its not going to have very good range if I keep up the dc charges but I dont have a garage to charge in.

When I switch on the AC, my predicted mileage immediately drops by 10...

Yeah, AC/heat and speed can kill range. When it gets colder, try using the seat heater and heated steering wheel (if you have it) instead of the heater to save range.

Can’t help with speed advice though — the car is so fun to drive that I have a lead foot while driving, too. :)
