Is there a way to connect a second 12 volt socket in the trunk?

If there's already a 12v socket in the trunk, use a splitter.

If you explain what you're trying to accomplish, people might provide more helpful comments.

I want to be able to connect my 12 volt cooler.I allready have a 12 volt splitter but would like to avoid having wire going from the front on the car to the rear
I can't think of any power source you could tap into in the trunk area that would handle something like a cooler so you will probably have to run a cord to the back. Amazon has 12V extensions that should work:

The cooler cord is allready long.Previouly i had a Volt that had a fuse panel in the trunk so i was thinking that the Bolt would have one.Think i could connect to the trunk light?

1. The fuse block is located under the hood. There is no mention of a second block in the rear of the car.
2. You would have to connect to the hot side of the wire (before the switch) otherwise you would only have power when the lid is open. You would also need to determine if the wire was of sufficient size to handle the load.

Unless you have the premium radio system, the tail lamp module is the only thing in the trunk being fed power that uses a wire of any significant size. I probably would not piggyback those wires either though, they still aren't a very heavy gauge. Definitely would be better to run a power wire right from the battery, that's the route I've taken, personally.

There is not one. Lots of studs that could be used for a ground but very little power is available in the trunk.

IIRC, there's a trailer connector on the driver's side at the rear that's got full-time 12VDC. It's down low near the under-trunk, and behind the plastic side panel. I'm pretty sure that's where my trailer lighting guy hooked up my 4-flat trailer lighting connector.

In this photo, you can see the tow eye bolt threads in the fitted foam piece, for a position reference.

I think it's a 15A fused circuit. As for which wire is which...I have no idea. I paid somebody else to do it, after all...
