That doesn't make sense to me - how can it test good if it only gives 6V unloaded?Interesting thing, the dead battery tested good on my battery tester with plenty of cca's.
Yet after I charged it all night it had only a 6v charge.
My 2017 Bolt (which I bought new) has its original 12V battery that's been going strong for over 5 years now. It drops to 10.3V under the load of my battery tester. The load tester simulates the load of a starter motor, which the Bolt of course doesn't have. When I actually start the car the battery drops to 12V even.Chevy bolts seem to eat 12v batteries.
