I have approximately 2500 miles into my experience with the gem from GM. Mostly happy but have had 2 recurring error messages that have made the car un-drivable. StabiliTrak failure with warning MIL. Loss of Steering Assist and then unable to start the car after powering down. Has anyone experienced this problem?

I've seen some posts that blame "Loss of Steering Assist" on overheating of the steering booster motor because of being in the habit turning the steering wheel a lot while the car isn't moving. On ICE vehicles power steering assist comes from engine vacuum, but in the Bolt it's done with an electric motor and if the motor gets to hot it stops providing assistance. Turning the steering wheel while stationary requires a lot of power from the booster motor.
