When I was shopping for cars last week I had a dealer in IA tell me they already had a full stop sell on all Bolts because of this. They would not sell me the car while it is sorted out.

I bought it locally with no mention of the recall.

I was told the fix is figured out but they don't know about parts availability.

So anyone wanting the last federal tax credit would have been locked out.

Well, this recall is for about 150 cars only. Nothing to worry about.
I think the 153 cars was Canadian registered only, as that number came from Transport Canada, & their recall would be different from other jurisdictions.
It states GM will notify by mail, but remembEr, you can always tap the “Recall Notice” on the
My Chevrole app. If you tap the line that shows range/tire pressure/odometer, scroll to the bottom, there is a line
Recall Notice. If you have registered your vehicle when you setup the app, it already knows your VIN, & will be a VIN specific search.
