Congrats!!

When did you place your order?

I placed mine last week and the dealer mentioned there was a plant shut down coming up that would delay things several weeks and that I would be getting a 2019 model when the time came. I was told about 12 weeks to deliver (so looking at the last week of September).

I just received my build week; 30/07/2019. :D:D:D:D:D
Did you pick one of the newer colors like Green Mist Metallic, Shock, or Slate Gray Metallic?

I’m curious to know too when you placed your order for a 2019 MY.
I placed mine back in early May and I’m supposed to be 3rd in line for a 2019 Bolt at my local dealer.
My own estimate is based off my 2018 which I ordered back in September 2017 and I received in late February 2018; This puts it at just under 6 months.
I’m also based in Ontario Canada (GTA).

Thanks! :)

I originally placed my order at the end of April, for an orange 2018 but the dealer didn't have any allotment left. Luckily it also placed me 1st for that dealership. I ended up going with Shock. My wife really wanted the Shock and it was one of 3 on my short list. The dealer placed the order with GM on June 15th, one day after GM started taking orders. The plant will shut down on July 27 for 3 days to retool and start production on 30 July. I luckily get one of the ones from the first week. Hoping to have it middle of Aug, but probably closer to end of Aug.
@Goose Do you have an order number yet? If not, bug the **** out of the dealer. Let them know you want the order placed with GM asap.

GM accepted my order about 2 weeks after it was entered by the dealer (order number received when dealer placed order). received build week a week later.

Thanks for the detail ljpm.

It's been 8 days since I placed my order and I have my order number. Sounds like I should wait another week, maybe two to make sure the order was accepted and if it was given a production week.

Ooooh - this is reason for optimism!

I have got nowhere in trying to determine if EV rebates are still in existence in Ontario - nothing coming back from Ministry staff, MPPs or Chevy. The 2019 is not on the EV rebate list and not sure if Ontario is taking new applications.

Any news on rebates from folks here?

I just don't want to get caught with abrupt cancellation.

Give it a bit of time because the 2019 MY Bolts are not officially out yet. I haven’t heard anything about Doug Ford cancelling the incentives for EV cars. If there are any changes it should take some time to implement. If he has respect for people there should be some kind of grace period for those who already pre ordered an EV before changing anything.
My best guess is either it stays the same or it gets reduced for 2019. Judging by the way this new government stands on climate change and protection policies, there is none! I’m thinking all incentives will get phased out in a year or so.
I hope I’m wrong.

Here is the official announcement on Cap nTrade. Not EV specific but a speedy regulatiory change as per election promise:

https://news.ontario.ca/opo/en/2018...-cap-and-trade-carbon-tax-era-in-ontario.html

The EV rebate end is coming, the question is whether it is a hard stop or phase out- and whether it is the delivery date or order date that counts during a phase out. And if Ontario will accept new models to the EV list.

My guess is a phase out by end of year and it is the order date that matters.

My hope is Chevy has already applied to be added to the list- this is critical!

Also, I am crossing all fingers n toes RIGHT NOW.

Not to hijack the OP's thread, but as I mentioned, I placed my order at the dealership 2 weeks after the OP. I called yesterday (2 weeks after placing the order) to check on the status. Turns out GM still hasn't picked up the order. The dealership contacted the regional GM rep and she made some adjustments to the allocation so GM should get the order next week. So I'm a bit bummed but also happy that it should get into the queue next week.

It won't matter. I heard from the dealer. They will not add the 2019 model to the list of eligible vehicles. We are screwed. Guess I won't be getting my Bolt for a few more years. I'll have to wait for battery tech to advance and bring down the prices.

Also got a 3100 code but my dealer doesn't seem capable of (or willing to) providing any schedule details beyond that. Interesting the level of detail in the link above.

Hi all! Does anyone know about how long it takes for delivery after the vehicle is built? My Bolt is currently status 3100, target production week 7/30/18. Thanks!
Mine was one of the last of the 2018s. It was built at the end of June, ( the dealer gave me the VIN), delivered July 18.
Delivery itself only took 4-5 days, BUT, your dealer has little say in how quickly it actually gets loaded onto transport.
I was antsy about the demise of the rebate in Ontario, & wanted the Bolt ASAP. The dealer made numerous calls, only to be told, “ it is awaiting transport”. Seems it sat for a couple of weeks.
I don’t know if it is lack of trucking capacity, they play a game of Tetris, waiting til there is a full load to a single destination, or something entirely different. It may well be that the truck doesn’t leave because they are waiting on a final LT , in blue, with confidence package to come off the line.

I'm close to placing an order for a 2019, but would sure like to be able to build & price using the Chevy websites beforehand. Seems the prices are not yet released, and this could affect the model and options I select. Currently, I'm thinking the LT version (I hate the gaudy wheels and roof rack of the Premier). I would go for Confidence II, which requires the Confidence (1), which in turn requires Comfort & Convenience. As I interpret the new Order Guide, I won't be able to get Infotainment (no need), no leather (same), Green Mist Metallic (too bad), but I'll really miss not being able to have Surround Vision (birds-eye view). Tempted by the "Shock" paint, but my wife might veto that choice. One local (Calgary Alberta) dealer I talked to claims he'd need a larger deposit on an order with that colour.

Bottom line -- when are prices traditionally released with respect to start of production ?
