No dead pedal in sight. It is possible I missed it though as it still had all the plastic everywhere. Sales person said they have 39 units coming in. Car had two miles on it. I was surprised at the changes they made to it just two model years in. They are listening to us...the big thing I was worried about was the softer ride compromising the sporty handling and it didn't feel like it did. Car handles very good. I measured the seats with a tape measure and both my 17 and the 19 are 18" wide so I don't know what if anything was changed with the seats.

2 of my favorite colors are gone in exchange for Green Mist. Are the roads really as rough as the last portion of your video depicts or was the camera mount sensitive?
Thanks for the '19 update.

Now that there is a feature to limit the charge capacity, how does it affect hilltop reserve?
I'm thinking of setting mine to 90% if hilltop reserve is no longer a feature which is pretty close to the 88% HTR maxes the charge to.

I'm getting my 2019 premier very soon, It's bayed as per the dealer and it's just waiting for a truck to ship it here. The dealer says it should be here on Friday this week :D

The other thing I noticed on the 2019 MY is that they separated the heat and A/C, I was a bit puzzled about that. My 2018 has heat and AC as one button, basically it's easy to hit one button to have the climate system on or just the fan on. I'm guessing it's GM listening to their customers who want more control of everything about this vehicle :) I would still prefer they have kept the 2017 and 2018 settings in regards to this.
Oh well, I'll just get used to it.
I'm still very excited to get my 2nd Bolt, hopefully by next week!

Cheers!

That ability to set a charge limit is huge, this is something that should have been there from the beginning IMO. Since I drive only about 20 miles a day I'd probably set it to about 70% and leave it there unless I was going to go on a longer drive where I needed more range.

Hopefully this is something that GM will let us existing owners have via a software update. I suspect we''d need a lot of Bolt owners to contact them and ask for it though.

My daughter is operating the camera :) The roads can be rough around here though but most of the main roads are in good condition. I don't do a lot of car videos so I don't have a go pro or anything like that.

I am really hoping they do an OTA update for all these changes. But I also think that it won't be happening unless we all call GM and ask. Hopefully we are wrong on this one.

One thing I noticed is that on the "target charge" they only show range and the 5% intervals, not % like the other EV's. IMO, it would be better if they would also state the battery percentage.

In general I agree, but I'll take what I can get. Would make my life quite a bit easier if I could just set a maximum charge at about 70% (don't need to be precise).

I think the reason this setting wasn't included originally is GM marketing weenies didn't want the car to seem too "complicated" for first time EV buyers. They probably wanted it to seem approachable by any idiot who had never owned or even researched EVs.

As to why they added the feature for 2019? I'm guessing that it's either that enough people asked for it or maybe it has to do with the fleet-focused Bolt Incomplete, fleet managers are going to be very concerned with maintaining the health of the batteries.

What isn't explained is what "Drivers confidence package 2" is. Is this not an option on the previous Bolts?
Driver Confidence II Package, includes (UHY) Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking, (UHX) Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, (UEU) Forward Collision Alert, (UE4) Following Distance Indicator, (UKJ) Front Pedestrian Braking
and (TQ5) IntelliBeam headlamps

It was an option for previous Bolt but apparently not on the LT model. You had to go up to Premier trim in order to get it. The change is that now it can be had on the LT model as an option.

I too would like to see a software update to separate out the heat and A/C but I am not holding my breath. Maybe we can get together a list of items we would like to see in the software update and then petition GM to release an update?

The battery management software update wasn’t over-the-air, so it’s not certain whether that’s possible for the new 2019 software features.

My best guess is that if it’s available at all it will likely involve a trip to the dealership.

This is basically all the stuff that's enabled by the forward-facing camera that's mounted in front of the rear view mirror.

Hmmm, the 2017 cars had a dead pedal, but with carpet that can get dirty easily.

Looks from the video and other photos that there may be more padding in the seat bottom cushion, like what the seats look like after the modification where people stuff an extra layer of foam in there.

I know my 2017 Premier has Lane Departure Warning, but I don't think it has Lane keep Assist if that means actively nudging the car back into the lane when it senses a departure. Perhaps that is new? I know they offer it on the newer Cruzes.
