2021 Bolt Premier Cruise Control Minimum Speed setting

2250 Views 12 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  GJETSON
Is there a way to reprogram the minimum cruise speed to 30 km/h vice the current 40 km/h?
School Zones are all 30 where I live.
My last veh, a 2013 Fusion was able to operate at 30 km/h and I really miss that ability.

(That's 18.64 Mph for folks below the 49 th parallel)

Thanks

The Bolt CC can be set to 24 mph, after setting to 25 mph or above, using the minus button.

I strongly disagree with this. One of the challenges I have in the Bolt is that it's difficult to know what speed you're going without glancing at the speedometer. There's no engine noise that changes pitch with speed, so I find myself having to pay closer attention to the speedometer than in any of my other cars. Looking at the speedometer means not paying as much attention to the road ahead. If I could set the cruise control to 30km/h then it would remove the distraction of having to check the speedo as much.
Mostly we drive on two lane roads. If others are ahead, and behind, I just maintain a safe distance from the car in front, and hope those behind will do the same. If nobody is around, I always use CC because otherwise I will invariably end up speeding, with no audio cues...at least none an old guy can hear.
