You think so? I haven't heard of any EA stations really messing with any vehicles batteries or systems necessarily. Even if they come up with errors themselves you car should be fine? Though, now that I'm using the 12 amps charging I will rarely need EA. But not sure how things will be after I move. Haven't scheduled it just yet so there is still time to delay but I wasn't aware this is something to be concerned about.
Get the new battery! I believe what he was trying to say is that he would have put off the getting the software 80% charge limit on the original battery, so as to eke out every possible mile of range until the new battery was available. There is no reason at all to hesitate about getting the new battery whenever it is available.
