Anyone else notice the delay when tapping the horn?
Or more accurately the complete inability to simply tap the horn?

I want to give a quick "toot toot" to the kids when leaving and nope, I have to hold the horn for probably .5 second then actually react to hearing the horn to let go so I end up giving them a "tooooooot toot". Oddly enough after the first anoying delayed toooooot I can let go and just immediately just tap hit for a quick one.

It just drives me crazy that even the horn is apparently software controlled and for whatever reason (on purpose or maybe not) to initialize a horn beep you have to more than just give the steering wheel a tap.

It also ends up misrepresenting my honks when sitting at a newly green light with the car in front me not paying attention...
goes from an "excuse me... I think you may have missed the light turned green"
to a "WTF MAN GET MOVING ARE YOU BLIND!!!!"

/rant

My wife thinks I am crazy to let this bother me as much as it does.

My GMC Canyon is the same way. I don't like it for the same reasons. I make up for it by remembering the '60s and '70s when many of us drove everywhere with the horn stuck on. Everybody knew why your horn was blowing continuously. Today you would probably get shot.
