Wow, what a great car. I loved my wife's Bolt so much, I had to get one for myself.
Unlike many of the people on this forum, I love the seats. I feel like they are quite supportive of my large frame. I like that I sit up high and can see the road well. I like that the car sits up a little higher. It is very easy on my ageing knees to get in and out of this car. I like that the car is so narrow. It makes the car very easy to park. I love the headlights. I don't see as well at night but, with the Bolts lights, I almost feel like it is day time all the time.

Really, the complaints I read about this car are silly. "Too much hard plastic on the interior." Is this a joke? Buy a dashmat. You are getting 238 miles of all electric range and your battery has cooling and heating to protect its longevity in the summer and extend your range in the winter. After my tax credit, I will pay 22K for this. Why would you want to buy a model 3? For style? For a few more gadgets and safety features? Sure that might be worth it for a few more grand. Not 6 to 15 grand. Plus, don't forget to subtract for reliability and the ability to have your car serviced almost anywhere. What about the Superchargers? Another joke. Rent a car, heck, rent a Tesla if you must and, save the miles on your Bolt. How many times can you rent a Tesla with what you save on a Bolt? Most people will get away with 238 miles of range 99 percent of the time. Personally, if my destination is that far away, I will just fly.

As far as the Kona, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. With one more horsepower, a few more feet of torque and a little more range, what fun you will have driving your brand new Kona. At least until you get your monthly payment and realize how much extra you paid for all that. That is when reality sets in.

So, to sum up, let me just say thank you Chevy and indirectly, thank you Elon. Because of you I got the best car deal on the market. I will fill up at work for free and never need maintenence. What a deal.

I agree completely about the seats and the interior. I was actually having back issues before I got my Bolt EV, and the firm, rigid back of the seat really helped me.

Also, as far as the hard plastic is concerned: I think people are mixing up "cheap" and "low quality." The plastic interior might be cheap, but it is durable. After nearly 90,000 miles, my interior is still holding up really well.

Well said, Solar Bolts ! I love this forum, but people seem to overlook the awesomeness of this vehicle. When we bought our first Bolt, I emailed Mary Barra, complimenting her on producing the Bolt, and she responded, saying, "Your email brings a smile to my face"! Maybe car manufacturers get overwhelmed with criticism at times when introducing a new innovation such as the Bolt. I'm thankful that I can drive for free (home solar) and have a reliable dealer near me if the Bolt ever needs servicing...

Agree with most of Solar Bolt's comments. We love driving the Bolt so much, our SUV suffered a discharged and frozen battery because it was so seldom driven this winter. (Yes, I know I should have had it on a battery tender.)
I like that I sit up high and can see the road well.
Two years in and I'm still trying to find the best seating adjustment for me. I'm almost as large as SB, but when I adjust the seat as high as I'd prefer it, there's a huge blind spot behind the inside mirror. Not having memory power seat and mirrors I do miss.
the ability to have your car serviced almost anywhere. . . . . and never need maintenence.
Yes, No, Maybe. Two years in and few GM dealerships have a trained, experienced Bolt technician. For true, never need scheduled maintenance, but any electronic/mechanical device will fail eventually. What and how long for the Bolt is obviously unknown. Ours hasn't been back to the dealership, even for the two updates. I've learned not to fix what ain't broke.
After my tax credit, I will pay 22K for this.
When we bought one of the first four Bolts to arrive in Spokane, there were no discounts; we paid $36K net for our Premier and even though it's definitely not a great bottom line dollar value, we love driving it so much the additional cost is irrelevant.

Yep my feelings on the form factor are similar. One can sit up high even if you are not that tall, and you are less likely be involved in an accident because of it. Sad but true, these days almost everything on the road is high profile which makes driving low sleek cars more difficult. Your lines of sight are mostly blocked in a low car. Not saying I wouldn't trade it for a 3 straight up.. but the tall hatchback format has got its benefits for sure.
