I have seen different answers to this question on various boards. One answer is to use 12 amps if your house can handle the flow. The other answer is this setting only applies to the 110v charging anyway.

I agree Chevy needs to do a better job educating owners and dealers. The manual is very generic in it's information.

Yes, only use 12 amps if your 110/120 is a dedicated outlet. Especially the case if it's only a 15 amp circuit.
This setting only applies to regular household outlet (i.e. 110v).
