As often as Bolt owners press and close this door, I wonder if it might be wise to trim and apply some clear protective film to the door. Has anyone does this yet? I can see that door getting scratched up quickly, especially on colors that show it like white and black.

I had it done when I had the front quarter of the car wrapped with an invisible car bra. Hood, front, lights, panels (including the charge door) forward of the front doors, pillars and a 20 in wide swath on the front of the roof.

According to the shop I used, the precise cut files are available for Bolts.

If you JUST want a protected spot to safely push on, you could buy a clear door cup protector.
