Does anyone have any information/resources on how this might be done? The larger components (woofer and amplifier) are available from any parts dealer, but I'm not sure where to source the wiring harness. I can't identify it in any of the parts lists. My goal is to replicate the setup you'd find in the Premier model with the Bose upgrade.

I was hoping I'd find the necessary hookups hidden behind the the passenger's side trim panel in the trunk, but that doesn't seem to be the case from poking around.

I'm aware this probably isn't the best bang for your buck approach to an upgrade, but I'd prefer it to be as Chevrolet "intended," especially when I try to sell the vehicle down the line.

Thanks.

I’ve actually given this the same thought as you in the past, but, like the problem you’ve run in to, I was disappointed to find that the harnesses necessary for the upgrade are not there (and we own a non-Bose Premier). Sucks because on my wife’s 2010 Forester, the harness to plug in an in-door OEM tweeter was there, behind a sail panel, despite the fact that she has the lowest trim.

Would you happen to know the power output of the OEM amp? Couldn’t find the specs online.

All the same, I’d be interested to find out what you end up doing with your LT. Thanks for putting this out there.

I don't have any information about the amp, MD. I assume the output is printed on the underside of thing itself, but I haven't actually seen one in person. I think it'd maybe be possible to jury rig another type of subwoofer to it if someone was so inclined. That'd be a great option for aftermarket upgrades if the harness were present in every model.

I’ll definitely post an update if I find the solution. I'm going to ask the parts department at my dealership and see if I can get any more info. It astounds me that the wiring isn't there.

Found this in the service manual. It's essentially the only reference to what I'm looking for. Everything else that deals with the subwoofer/amplifier just ignores the wiring. Still can't find it on Parts Direct. Super frustrating.

I don't think of Bose as being premium anything. If I wanted to emulate a sound system I would be influenced by the Harman Kardon in our Volkswagen. Search for car audio, and one would be hard pressed to find anyone recommending Bose -- just sayin' If going to the trouble . . .
This is a strange and unnecessary comment that adds nothing to the discussion and wildly misses the point. Did you misunderstand what was meant by the word Premier? That is the name of a Bolt model, not a flowery compliment of Bose’s sound quality.

Also, I specifically addressed the “going to the trouble” part of this at the end of my post. I am interested in replicating Chevrolet’s factory upgrade for reasons beyond “premium” sound.
