Does anyone wear a smart watch paired with their Android phone connected to Android Auto? I'm wondering if there are any gotchas, such as incoming texts or calls being routed to the watch instead of to Android Auto for display on the car's infotainment screen...

I have a Galaxy S7, a Huawei watch, and use Android Auto all the time. No issues - I always get the alert on the phone, watch, and AA.

Great, thanks! And I assume that when you take a call it goes through the car's speakers and microphone?
Yup, calls go through the car system as it should.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ and a Samsung Gear S2 watch. If someone will donate a Chevy Bolt EV for testing purposes, I will post the Android Auto test results here.;)
Raymondjram - your stuff is easier to ship. Donate your s8 and watch and I'll let you know if it works on the Bolt. I'll even send you my s7 if you pay for return shipping 0:)

All good here with my Huawei Watch 2 and Android Auto. Calls work fine. Text messages were a little tricky though. After lots of testing & troubleshooting, I found that Textra was the only app that was compatible with Android Auto and Wear OS (at least as of a few months ago). My only complaint is that Textra only gives me a silent pop-up on the Bolt screen that I sometimes miss.
