I just leased a 2019 Bolt Premier and am enjoying it more than I thought I would. I was looking at getting a Mustang Bullitt or Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, but instead went in the COMPLETE opposite direction. It was purely a financial decision and will save me a ton of money, especially considering that with my existing solar installation on my house, I should have enough to cover charging. Next step, getting the charger installed!

I leased and did not buy because I'm still unsure about how it will fit in my life, but with two other vehicles, I can make the sacrifice and use this for commuting. With the Bolt, I feel like I'm driving a rolling smartphone and have been very happy with it for the first few days.

Who knows! It's hard to say what will be available in three years and I'm hoping there will be several more options. Still, I didn't go into this thinking I'd like it, but it has been fun so far. Entering utility rate tiers has been interesting, but hopefully that will keep me from charging during peak PG&E rates!

Welcome to the forum. The more one drives the Bolt, the better it becomes and the more the performance becomes usable.

This from a guy who's owned uncountable top tier performance cars - the Bolt has more usable performance in daily driving than anything I've ever owned. Quietly, without drawing attention, this little pocket rocket can slide through the urban jungle and come out ahead of the big ticket ICEs most every time. Instant electric torque rules!

I drove literally every interstate in the US and the slowest drivers were usually Corvettes, Mustangs, Harleys and Porsches; they'd learned the expensive way those draw the eye and the attention of John Law. Me in my rental whatever would be invisible at 10+over what would draw a ticket in the very visible hypercars. The Bolt being a generic hatchback is even moreso.
