I run bolt so far 65k miles. So far, I had done only tire rotations. Is it recommended to go to any place to checkup breaks etc? I remember sometime back local repair shop person told they can't service EV even to check coolant. I live in Tampa. I plan to call firestone or any local repair shops tomorrow. Otherwise, I can go to dealer.

Also, the trunk lid is falling and it even made bump on my head. Not sure regular repair shops can check this. Appreciate it.

Transmission (1 speed), brake fluid, and coolant all need service. I would do it at least as often if not a little sooner than the 5 years or 150k. Like in a humid area, the brake fluid may absorb more moisture. that is usually a 2-3 year change. I figure the manufacturer expects at least 150k out of the companents. so they spec one service. do it at 100k and I would expect a significant increase in life. You don't think a car company would plan for a car's life to be over 200k do you? I don't. Here is a schedule from a 2023 Bolt OM
Every 240 000 km (150,000 mi)
. Drain and fill vehicle coolant circuits. Or
every five years, whichever comes first.
See Cooling System 0 217.
Owner Checks and Services
Every Five Years
. Replace brake fluid.
Every Seven Years
. Replace Air Conditioning Desiccant every
seven years. The air conditioning system
requires maintenance every seven years.
This service requires replacement of the
desiccant to help the longevity and
efficient operation of the air conditioning
system. This service can be complex. See
your dealer.

Some service intervals are time based. Telling us the mileage alone is not enough information. We don‘t even know the model year of your Bolt. In the interest of teaching a person to fish rather than giving them a fish, the recommended service schedule is in the owner’s manual, which you can find here: Site Maintenance You can look it up as easily as we can.
