It seems that we will get the first look at the Tesla Model 3 at the Geneva Motor Show. That venue would give Tesla the chance to show their vehicle beside core models from European automakers like BMW and Jaguar. That news comes from a speculative report from Auto Express.

Tesla’s third model, revealed exclusively to Auto Express by Elon Musk as being named Model 3, is set to get its world debut in March next year. With the 2016 Geneva Motor Show kicking off on March 1st, there’s a chance it could make its world debut in Europe, the home of the Model 3’s chief rivals the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4 and Jaguar XE.
Not sure where they are getting this info from aside from some inference.

Positioning themselves in that sort of event with the other brands in attendance should give Tesla the attention they need. Better than if they were to do an event of their own.

I think you are right because right now Tesla has this image of being somehow separate from the rest of the industry. It is both good and bad for them. It gives them a niche and a cult following, but it also makes them a bit less accessible to many people.

Putting their products right side-by-side with the competitors should help to bridge that gap.
