I'm looking for some options for extending the factory backup camera. I have a 2018 equinox and a 2018 bolt, both with the backup camera option and we already use a cargo carrier on the hitch with the equinox. I would like to use it with the bolt and also use the hitch mounted bike carrier, but want to be able to see when backing up. Is there any system out that would let me connect to the existing backup camera circuit for a camera mounted on the cargo carrier? Maybe something that when plugged into would divert power and signal to the aftermarket one, but still be viewed on the main screen? (Yes I know the surround view will be off). Is the stock camera sending a standard signal over standard wiring that I could cut and splice into? Thanks for any help.

No one on this forum to my knowledge has tried this. But pretty much hacks into the signal so you can add additional cameras to the Bolt's screen. https://www.navtool.com/chevrolet-bolt-2017-2018-video-in-motion-interface.aspx

Thank you, that's pretty cool. Way more than I'm looking for, but makes it seem like it can be done.
