This is about a 10 year old Nissan Leaf.

DCFC was not detrimental, too much short charging session was.

I subscribe to Fully Charged on You Tube. They are great. That is also a first gen Leaf. The batteries degraded no matter what you did.

Rewatching the episode now... you really twisted what he said to try and make your point. He pointed out that having a passive air cooled only battery was horrible for battery degradation, and said that for the last 4 years out of 10 it has been charged exclusively on Solar. Around the 13 min point he said that rapid charging is not detrimental (depends on use case in my opinion) and he went on to say that short cycling the battery between 90% and 100% was bad for it. This is true even in liquid cooled cars.

The "DCFC isn't bad for it" idea is mostly correct for the 1st gen Leaf because that was a "once a day" at most thing. Only lunatics were doing cross country road trips in a 1st gen leaf, and it is REPEATED cycles of DCFC that rapidly destroy the leaf battery. That was the whole genesis of Rapidgate in the 40 kWh and up cars, Nissan would no longer allow excessive (usually anything more than one charge) on DCFC in a day at full DCFC power due to battery heating.
