I would have expected Stevens Creek Chevrolet to get it right the first time. Is this the dealer that you originally went to that said a cell .3V lower than all other cells is “normal” ??
Sorry. I should have said that it was a different dealer who told me that and their lead technician actually. That was Capitol Chevrolet. I really didn’t appreciate their attitude, condesention, or mansplaining. 😠

Yes. Trying to charge a badly shorted cell will generate tremendous heat...enough to turn it into a road flare.
My 2017 Chevy Bolt is currently at the dealer having a module replaced due to a bad cell (.3V lower than the average of the other cells) What I don't understand is why they don't do the diagnostics test for this on every Bolt coming in to have the recall done to see how many cars are affected and to fix the actual problem.
