I've had my Bolt for about 24 hours now and I'm really enjoying it. GM is currently running a sale on accessories and I've got the credit card, I'm trying to figure out what GM accessories are worth it vs third party options. Any suggestions?

If you bought your GM new - you also get points.
This is what I bought w/ my points; had it a few months now.

I like it. When I go on Earth Day events; the other Bolt owners
always ask me about it:

Not sure I've found any add ons yet. I did put some 3M film on charge door and hatch. Thought about cow seat covers.

Seems to be very few choices available. Only a few 3D printed things.

Yeah I did get the points on it. My vehicle actually came with that cover though (and the false floor)

The Thule roof top box can be used with future vehicles. But then you need a roof rack first. 🤔

I used my points on the rubber floor mats (the cheaper version), front and back. Fitted to the car, so I assume aftermarket ones wouldn’t fit as well. I live on a dirt road off another dirt road and have an unpaved driveway, and it’s sure nice not to grind sand into the carpeting every time I get into the car. Points + sale + picking them up at my dealer meant they cost me about 40 bucks.

Do you find they have sufficient protection without edges? I live in a northern climate and I’m wondering if the cheaper flat mats won’t be sufficient to protect from salt compared to the more expensive Chevy mats or something like Weathertech

You can get the Terrain/Equinox roof rack for about $130. You need to cut the rails a bit (about 1.75" or so) and drill new holes for the feet, but they bolt right into the Bolt's roof rails (if you have a Premier).

I got my mats right at the tail-end of winter, so I haven’t tracked much snow or salt into them. I’m sure the ones with bathtub edges would provide more protection, but so far these seem adequate. When it’s bad out, I get my butt into the seat and kick my feet together to minimize what I track in. They do have depressions and ridges, so they’ll hold a fair amount of junk.

This is the first I've heard of this option, and really great news. Do you have the part number handy? Any idea on weight capacity? We'd use to transport two 13' fiberglass kayaks.

This is the one I bought: Roof Rack, that can be made to fit.
$123.
I only had to cut one of them shorter then drill and tap two new holes.
Should easily handle two kayaks. But what do I know?... There may be an official weight limit....
This is for Premiers with the roof rails only.

The one NortonCommando posted will probably work, but is not the OEM rack. Look on eBay… they pop up for $125-200. The OEM racks sit higher and extend a bit past the mounting feet.

When I got my 21ev I used my points towards both the false floor(that the LT didn't have) and cargo mat. Netted about half price.

I would not get the GM accessory sun shield (below). It looks great, but it's too heavy, sags and the aftermarket ones (Heatshield, for example) work much better.

Agreed. DO NOT BUY! We were thrilled when we purchased one because it does look fantastic. Three months later returned it for a full refund. Combination of bad design (especially the weight) and the long, low slope of the Bolt windshield results in a sag that soon renders the sunshade unusable.
