Bizarre (erroneous) posting on EV costs

Someone has put out a wildly inaccurate breakdown of EV operating costs. Among the representations made is that a neighborhood power grid can only handle three Tesla autos before breaking down, and the hourly cost of charging an EV at home is $1.16 an hour! There's more. Here's a website tearing the article apart.

Wow... I knew "hydro" was expensive in Canada, but $1.16/kwh? bahahahaaha..... The highest I found was 20c/kwh in Toronto.
Now I see where my neighbor gets his 'news'.

The bogus claim is $1.16 per KILOWATT.

It costs me about $1.50 / hr to charge my Bolt, but that’s at a 7 kw/hr rate and .22 per kilowatt.

I wish my cost was fake news...
Yeah, but the story about the cost of EVs is a retelling of a supposed conversation with someone else. We all know how the game "telephone" works. Things get lost in translation.
