The mock up I got to sit in (If this same car), had the same inner dimensions as the Bolt. Same storage capacity in the back. It was just a Bolt with SUV/CUV styling.

Now if there was a proper wagon with a honking big cargo area and I'm there.
Heck just a flat floor all the way to the backs of the front seats. If they didn't tame that battery hump under the back seat there's no 'utility' to it.

And I hope that concealed front is just to be misleading. If they really put a Yukon 'locomotive' tall front on it - its nothing more than a joke.

JMHO, but there's no there there.

The current infatuation with SUVs must have gotten them to feel the need to inflate the sheet metal and raise the seating position even more.

Motor Trend has a good analysis of why few are buying sedans and more are choosing SUVs. https://www.motortrend.com/cars/chevrolet/impala/2019/sunset-of-the-sedan/ JMHO, but the hatchback has always been the logical choice.

Thanks for that. From the pictures, it was hard for me to gauge the size of this thing. If it's really the same as that mockup, that's really disappointing. Bigger, but for no reason except to be bigger. I can accept bigger if it had a bigger trunk. But bigger for appearance's sake is a waste.

MT:
"As you fold the Blazer's rear seat, the bottom cushion's more complicated hinge translates it lower and forward, providing space for the seat back to flatten level with the cargo floor. [In contrast] The Impala's 1.5-inch-taller cargo lift height is followed by a 7.0-inch drop to a lower trunk floor."

I sure hope the new EUV follows the Blazer model. Anything that can't attain a flat floor has little 'utility'.

My meh levels are dangerously high.

Yeah, me too. From the site,
“GM Authority was first to report that General Motors was working on a new Chevrolet Bolt EV variant called the Bolt EUV...GM said last year it would be launching two crossovers based on the Bolt EV’s BEV2 platform. We know the upcoming Chevy Bolt EUV will account for one of these crossovers, but the second is still a mystery. ”
