I am constantly preaching it to both of my kids who both drive high-maintenance BMW's.

One of them has already told me her next car will be an EV after borrowing my car whenever her BMW needs repairs. She hates waisting time at gas stations and loves the reliability of the EV.

EDIT- just got a text from my daughter,,, the yellow Brake indicator just illuminated... probably needs front pads!

My car has been to the dealership three times. Twice for my two free "oil changes", where they just rotated tires and once when I had a pebble stuck in my brake shield. It sounded like a bad motor problem. Coming up on 58,000 miles and still on the same set of Michelin tires. Should be able to get 70,000 miles out of them. Total spent on maintenance is about $30 for windshield wiper fluid and two cabin filters.

27 months, 26.4K miles. Just in past 4-5 days have blind-spot warning lights (both) come on, and stayed on, when there is nothing (not even a guard rail) next to the Bolt EV.
My 2017 started doing this about 6 months after I got it. The dealer fixed it and said it was a known issue, with a service bulletin.

19 months and 30K miles. I had one software update done shortly after I got the car. Had a wing mirror replaced due to black spots on it (an apparently common problem with the 17s). I’ve had it fail to recognize the key fob while starting a couple of times, even thought I could unlock the car from 100ft away, so I doubt it was the battery. I replaced the fob battery anyway and the problem didn’t reappear. I had the infotainment unit fail to come on once and it never repeated.

To me these are nits. I guess I can’t say the car is completely trouble free but it has never been more than a minor inconvenience. I look at it as the total trouble being worth about 1 trip to a gas station.

25th month, heading on 17K miles, nearly perfect. I've had a few recall software updates, and occasionally, I have to >>| + HOME reset a hung entertainment console.

Nearly perfect here as well. Not complaining but to get granular;
Coming up on 16K miles, 2019LT, had it 10 months. I've had to reboot the infotainment a few times, some software glitches but nothing noteworthy. The backup camera guide lines sometimes don't appears as an example. A few times I hit the regen paddle and it regen brakes then doesn't and then does. Very rare, but a few times. Almost like you would expect if the regen paddle was shorting/loose/intermittent. Can't explain it otherwise. I'm the idiot who bought an extended GMPP over the internet so I'm not worried about things, especially since I hope to trade out of it in 2022.

I found this site and reviewed the issues on the Volt and Bolt. Seems Volt and Bolt are the most reliable Chevy cars. ;)
