Made a video to simplify this task for those that want a quick solution.

I expect to see a lot of comments regarding "THE LAW" and "SAFETY" and "WHAT ABOUT THE BLIND?"
All I have to say is, I did this to help those wanting peace and quiet. Ya'll can utilize your time how you choose to.

Cheers ?

I didn't want to lose the other things that breaker handles so I didn't remove the breaker, and I admit it's minor stuff already covered in the 'other' thread on this topic. But I wanted to congratulate you. Offer my support and tell you that you aren't alone. I followed the other thread and made an easily reversible wiring change under the hood and deprived the growler speaker of it's positive voltage lead. For safety purposes, it's still got the ground connected.

? I thought about doing a wiring disconnect as well. Starting with the fuse. I noticed the chime is gone when plugging/unplugging. What else goes?

I want a button I can press from the driver's seat. One that is on a timer or one that resets with every key cycle.
Sound is nice to have in the first 30 seconds when you are pulling out. Especially when backing. Unnecessary the rest of the time. I swear in bumper to bumper traffic the sound is louder than the gassers around me.

I think there's more to it than just the chime and growler. I can't remember but to put this to rest versus speculation, maybe someone with a service manual will eventually 'chime' in with a more definitive answer.

If I recall correctly someone tried to claim that it also disabled some of the auto-braking or auto-detection functions, but that the claim had been debunked.

Not sure it's been debunked. No one has posted to my knowledge any documentation, service manual data or otherwise to explain what that fuse does in it's entirety. It's been nothing but guess-work up to this point. I personally don't know how anyone tested the auto-braking unless they took it to the point of hitting something. One thing that has been debunked is that the Bolt will auto-brake to the point that it will stop you from hitting an object. It assists in braking at a point so late in the game that the impact is inevitable. The auto-detection features I remember reading still worked, I think I recall reading that here. Based on how much has been wrong here, I'm skeptical at best.

I've had the fuse out since I bought my 2019 (for about 8 months). Everything still seems to work including the lane keep warnings and auto-braking. No errors or other warnings and all of my OnStar diagnostic reports have always had all green check marks.
Same here. I've had mine in and out (mostly out) on my 2019 Premier with no noticeable differences between either situation.

Unfortunately, those of you who have cut the sound has made it dangerous for pedestrian who may not realize that your nearby. The sound cuts out at 20 mi/hr.
I want a switch on my dash to turn it off and on. The majority of my "under 15 mph" (cutoff point in 2017 Bolt) is done in areas with zero pedestrians, but it would be nice to be able to turn it on in shopping mall / walmart parking lots.

The thing that actually bothers me is that the majority of modern cars (none sports cars) with functional exhaust systems make little to zero noise at parking lot speeds, but nobody worries about that.

Someone once said there are hundreds of blind people walking the streets but hundreds of millions of cars.

We should put a strobe light on the blind people. Since they are blind, it won't annoy them in the slightest. Have it make a sound when it is time to charge the strobe light battery.

When I was out golfing last week, a pick-up truck drove by with a real locomotive horn blaring. Of course I gave him the #1 salute. But later I realize how neat it would be to silently drive up behind someone and let go with one. The person would immediately recognize my presence before dying of fright...

I'm curious, your auto-braking kicked in you claim? How could you tell. I've not had mine kick in that I can tell and specifically an impact has occurred on more than one occassion. I have found the auto-braking to be as effective as LKA. I'd love to understand some success stories with it. Thanks for sharing.
