$2,500 lease cash.
58% residual for 15k miles. 60% for 12k, 61% for 10k. Same no matter the trim.

And the residual is inflated artificially ~10% resulting in a lower lease payment, which is where GM is giving the rest of the $5k.
Explaining in advance before the "where's the rest of MY (not) $7.5k tax credit?!" crowd shows up.

Thanks for the info and I've got a question for ya... Do you know if the Calif. Clean Vehicle Rebate can be applied to the lease down payment? Or do you have to apply for that separately.

With that $2500 from the CCVR, there ought to be close to $0 down, correct?

You'd need to put down the 2500 first out of pocket. Then you'd get the check later.

Terrible Canadian Lease Residuals

In Canada, our rebate is better but GM has set terrible residual values to deter people from leasing. The lease rate is 3.9% when many ICE vehicles lease for 0%.

Apologies that I don't have residuals on the base, only on the Premier.

Premier 36 mon. lease = 39% residual value
Premier 48 mon. lease = 31% residual value

What are the odds a Trump administration will change that threshold? Trump does operate differently than the people we had in office before so, that's something to think about especially with a market that is set for some serious growth throughout the coming years.

Trump and his administration have no control over the income threshold that California sets for getting the $2500 rebate from the state of California.

I'm reading the money factor for the best credit is 0.0005, is that correct? I was quoted by a dealer MF 0.00072 today. Thanks
