I'm replacing my 17 year old Subaru Outback.
I will miss my Alpine head unit, Polk speakers, Kenwood sub.
I want to replace the stock Bolt speakers.
Does anyone know what size speaker fits the doors?
Is there a drop-in speaker that installs without modifications once the original speaker modules are removed?
Are the stock speaker modules the same as those used on the Volt?
Is there an exploded view of front and rear doors to facilitate door panel removal?

I did it.
6.5 inchs and with the adapters fits number 1. Chime the speakers because if you install directly it's too far from the trim and the music will play in the door..
Look that plan;

Here the thread I started about this;

Adapters;

And finally, the thread I started on another forum (sorry french) full pictures;

Now I can't give you more than that..

Thank you very much.
It looks like the stock mounting adaptor is deeper for the rear door.
Did you use the Metro 82-3006 for both front and rear doors?

Yes it's the same for all. Speakers are little different but same ****.
And they all the same "height" so you'll have to chime for around 2,5 inches over the Metro adapter.

I like bright speakers, crisp high frequency response to compensate for my age, I tend to chose marine grade speakers for perceived endurance.
I had Polk DB652 speakers and liked them. I going to look into Polk again, Infinity, JBL as long as they have something durable.
I'm open to suggestions.
I'm going to replace the speakers only at first. I may put in a modest powered sub later.
Do you have a door panel removal diagram or know where I can find one?
