Hi all, I am excited to be making the transition from a Volt to the Bolt. I loved the Volt, but really wanted to move to all electric. I am impatiently waiting for the delivery of my new 2017 Bolt. It is on its way to the dealership via train/truck/ship whichever way they transport cars these days.

I am happy to be a new member of this forum and am looking forward to hearing and speaking with seasoned Bolt owners to get tips and tricks that will make the Bolt an even more amazing car.

Looking forward to future conversations!

Welcome!

Quite a few of us have gone from the Volt to the Bolt... I don't think any have regretted it!

Enjoy!

FWIW... it's time for me to do an oil change on both of my kids cars... $75 for oil (7qt Mobil 1 Synthetic for each car), another $20 for two filters.
Don't miss doing that on my car!!

Did they give you an ETA? Here in Vancouver I am unable to get any shipping details other than it is on a train and will arrive between end of October and end of November--asked dealership and Chevrolet Canada customer service

It's funny that Domino's has a "pizza tracker" on their website that tells you the exact status of your pizza, but cars in the process of being delivered enter some sort of information black hole. I'm sure there are reasons for it, but it's something Chevy could work on.

The thing is, I don't think you would like what you saw. You might get pretty frustrated watching it sit for days and days on a rail siding, or in a huge parking lot somewhere. All car manufacturers ship the cheapest way possible so they can make a profit on the destination charges. Cheapest way means slowest way. You would be yelling at your dealer and GM customer service almost everyday!
