While it doesn't do a justice to the fun aspect of driving a Bolt, it is a fair assessment of the car, and it's biggest shortcoming - a stable and available DC Fast Charge network.

The reviewer does give the Bolt's virtues credit where credit is due; however he's a NYC resident, for whom cars are an inconvenient and very expensive problem. It's akin to asking a color-blind person to work as an art critic. His perceptions are only valid for those of his ilk.

In the summation, as is so typical, he ignores the Bolt's operating range is more than sufficient for 99.9% of daily vehicle usage. Instead, like so many, he comes to the conclusion that the .1%, lacking the ability for ICE-equaling road trips, is proof BEVs just aren't practical.
