Update: Insurance is going to replace it, $100 deductible.

I noticed this evening water droplets in my drivers side headlight, on closer inspection I saw a star patterned crack in the lens, looked like from a rock impact. After looking on eBay and the parts sites I found out they are very expensive to replace. Over $500 for a used one, even went to Car-part.com and they were in the $500 to $700 range.
I guess I will see tomorrow if my insurance will cover it like a windshield on my comprehensive. I have a $100 deductible and that is better than paying $500-$700 any day.

Yes those light assembly are expensive especially since the apparition of LEDs in the headlights. Kind of reminds me my previous vehicle had defective LED rear lights from the factory and the dealer changed the assembly 3 times at 800$ a pop before figuring out that the problem was from the connector and not the light it self

Maybe try some kind of liquid polymer or super glue to fill the crack. Those types of products flow very easily and may only require a light sanding to finish.
