CA HOV stickers - where to stick em ?

Hi all, for those who have already affixed your HOV stickers, mind sharing where you actually put them ?

Seems like on the quarter panels and also rear bumper, space is so limited, and you can only go 'higher' to find a big enough spot.

Some pics would be great !

Thanks!

For what it's worth, the first-generation Volt has that same matte black plastic area along the bottom. I placed the stickers there back in 2012, and they haven't fallen off yet.
I suppose I might start a new thread for this question, but this seems close enough:

When placing the stickers, did you try to make them parallel to the ground, or parallel to the closest body line/seam? Or some third method? I'm planning mine out, and it seems natural to make the straight line parallel to the seam between body panel and black plastic bumper, but when I step back (I'm taping on copies to test), it bugs me that they look tilted.
Just got mine. Ordered 1/21 so that makes it three months!!! Way to go DMV- NOT!!!
Curious. Mine came within 3 weeks of mailing in the paperwork. I wonder if they process them in blocks, and I got in just before the block was processed.
Great link. I checked that one out and also found the same poster with violation had their own thread on the topic. It seems they were registered but had the paperwork and stickers in the glovebox, so they were displaying no stickers. This poster never did respond to questions about the fine and why it was $800. The normal first time violation for the HOV lane is only $491.

I have found that the California vehicle code that covers this is sections 21655.9 and sub section 5205.5. However nowhere on the web can I find the fines for violating these sections of the vehicle code. They really don't want the public knowing in advance what your fine is going to be.
If it's anything like a cell phone ticket (my sister got one), the base ticket price gets loaded with tons of fees. The $40 base price became $200 instantly.
