Even if you don't have an OnStar subscription? Is this a free part of OnStar?
One of the customer service persons told me he signs up for OnStar just before he takes a trip - usually cancels after one month. So it sounds like you could sign up for a month and use all of the OnStar functions to help you if your car is stolen.

You can also use the My Chevrolet app Driving Activity function to locate your car with just the free OnStar service. You do need to activate the Driving Activity function; it is off by default. And yes it will track where you drive, etc. but it would allow you to tell the police where your car is.

And AJ, you are the winner.
With Driving Activity turned on and the basic, free, 5 year OnStar the police can locate your stolen Bolt.
I don't know if they can actively slow it down and stop it but they can track it.
This whole question came up resulting from a subaru starlink tv ad, where the stolen car is slowed, stopped remotely.
