I configured the mychevrolet app to work with the used 2017 Chevy Bolt I just bought but it won't let me start and drive the car without the physical keyfob. I am able to lock/unlock, and pre-condition the car from the mychevrolet app, but when I try pressing the start button in the car the car display says there is no key present.

Is there something else I need to configure with the mychevrolet app so I can start the car without requiring the physical keyfob?

By the way, I called On Star to get it configured but I didn't pay to have it activated. I am sure that the mychevrolet app is working with a local wireless connection to the car since it won't unlock the doors if I am too far away.
