I was tinkering with car play this afternoon and saw that when you in maps (apple maps), if you tap the top of the screen, it’ll give a menu bar. You can select “destinations” from that bar and then you can select the category.... 2nd category is “charging”. It lists charge point, and EVGO sites. Not sure where apple is getting their data, but the nearest EVGO to me that was listed is shutdown. Still, it’s a really handy hidden feature. When the new IOS comes out , I hope plugshare is permitted to use car play.

Google and Apple maps has old outdated unreliable locations. Even ChargePoint INC themselves have old outdated maps - in the Boston area for example: 4 of 5 of the charging spots I tried looking up don’t actually exist are mislabeled and the ones that do exist aren’t even pinpointed correctly or on the wrong street. In Dedham, MA Legacy Place for example- it lists a charging station in front of Bed, Bath, and Beyond- but if you dig through the description it tells you it’s actually in the parking garage 1/4 mile away on the 6th floor (& that’s not even accurate - it’s actually on the 2nd floor).

Maybe other cities aren’t as bad as Boston area - I’d bet Silicon Valley has updated public maps - ha! In any case- as clunky as it is- the US energy directory above is still my go to.

Cool website i hadnt seen before, thanks @JoshPort. The app needs some work though (ios). You cant just show locations on the map screen by zooming out (unless i'm missing something; i had to use the search box with an address or location). And the filters are insufficient unfortunately. The website has better filters (don't show Superchargers for example).
