Charger Malfunction

I've been charging my 2023 Bolt EUV at home with the charger I got from the dealer, which is a dual level Level 1 and Level 2. (see picture below). Since I don't have a 220 outlet, I've been using Level 1, at 12 amp, which has been sufficient for my local driving. (My total mileage so far has been only about 9,000 miles)

Today when I tried plugging it in, the dashboard gave me a Not Charging message. The light on the charger box when I plugged it into the home electrical outlet didn't show the normal oscillating red and blue. Instead it flashed red, then went blank, then showed a steady blue.

Have any of you had this experience? Is the charger salvageable, or do I just need a new one? Or is there possibly some issue with the car itself?

Thanks.

Art, I'm using a Vevor L2 charger. Vevor seems to be one of the reliable Chinese brands with good customer support. Vevor also have a L1 charger for $99 on Amazon. Lectron has a L1 on Amazon for $150. It depends on how long a charge cable you need. $442 at the dealer seems excessive.
Mine was replaced by the dealer under warranty and the new Ultium one has been great!

GM made it confusing because "ultium" is just a brand they made up (then abandoned) so it doesn't really refer to a specific charger/EVSE.

The charger/EVSE they appear to be selling now which IS dual level is this one:
for $344
But you still have to buy the cable to plug it into the wall and somehow the L1 adapter is another $108:

If you want to stick with a new EVSE and are looking at a specific product, feel free to post it and someone can probably confirm whether it can do L1.

If I were in your shoes I'd probably look used and either take a chance on just replacing your broken one with the same thing like this:

Or check ebay for one of the early EV OEM adapters. The BMW i3s used a rebranded Clipper Creek charger that was quite robust and the EVSE the early Bolts used seems very reliable. The Bolt one is model # 23254905. It is technically 120v and 12a and they are pretty readily available on ebay for $150~$200.

Even the Tesla UMC + a J1772 adapter like this one could work well for you. (I have no affiliation with that seller or auction and am not necessarily recommending it or vouching for it)

My white OEM EVSE was just replaced last week under warranty. I had to go to the dealer three times and they had to get approval from Chevy, but it was done without any issues. The black Ultium-branded replacement is a very basic unit with dual plug-in AC cords, but it did not come with any paperwork or user guide, and it just has one LED that flashes while charging. So if the LED is supposed to indicate different states, such as charging errors, over-heating, etc., there is no way to know. But I did test it yesterday by plugging in and getting the estimated charge completion time from the DIC, and comparing it to the actual charge completion time. The car was fully charged and going through cool down at the exact estimated time. My only complaint is that it did not come with a wall-mount, just a rectangular recess in the back but no instructions or mounting hardware.
