Another Bolt owner (2017 Bolt) said that there have been no fires of Bolts only charged using the original 110 V charger. Can anyone substantiate that? For the record, our 2020 Bolt is my wife's car who rarely drives more than 50 miles and a more typical trip is 15 miles. Hence, we have only charged using the original 110 V charger.

not sure if there's data on every fire to substantiate that to 100%. Also, there's no report of a fire from DC fast charging at 400 volts. So there's that. It could be that the majority of owner's are using 240V EVSEs so the data supports that. The other factor is that the L1 (110/120V) EVSE really only supports people with light driving needs so the battery never gets cycled deeply. So that really has nothing to do with it being the L1 versus the L2. Just that the L2 can support daily deep cycling of the battery.
