When I start up my car the radio automatically comes on and I don't want it to happen. I've looked through the manual but haven't found a solution for it not to come on at start up. Does anyone have any information to help me?

I think I've read that's a "feature" that can't be changed. You CAN turn the volume all the way down before you shut the car down to avoid getting blasted by music automatically.
If enough of us submit feedback to GM, there's a (small) chance they might put out an update that fixes that "feature".

I found you can adjust the volume after shutting off the vehicle. After shutting off the car, it will turn the radio back on for your listening pleasure. Then you can adjust the volume to zero. Typically use the camera to pull into my garage, so I take that time to return the display to my default. Then exit the car.

If you set the radio the channel 0 it’s just silence. So while it still comes on every time you don’t hear anything. How the ability to shut off this “feature” didn’t make it into preferences is really mind boggling.

Hi I know what you mean since it used to happen to me, too ...drove me crazy.
But good news! Chevy has a software update they can do to stop this problem.
Take the car to your dealer and ask for the radio software update.
It helped me and it was free!

What Infotainment System firmware version are you running? For the 2017, I believe 14.5.0C is the latest.
