Complete Yakima Baseline setup for a bolt LT with naked roof (not for those with roof rails on the Premiere). It was used to carry kayaks, and it worked great.

Then we got a swap for the bolt to another vehicle, so no longer have need for the rack.

It was used from July 2021 through January 2022, 6 months. It is structurally/mechanically in great shape, but cosmetically there are scratches in the black finish from kayaks on there (see pics). Where we go kayaking there's lots of sand, and I guess I wasn't careful enough to get it off before loading them up. Should be able to touch up with a black paint for aluminum.

Hi. I see that you sold this set, but before I buy this exact setup on REI or soeplace, would you say it would work fine for hardware store errands (lumber, posts, etc.)?

Sorry I didn’t see your post sooner, since I don’t have a Bolt anymore, I am not checking here often.

Yes, it would work fine for errands like that. I think the load limit is said to be around 150 or 170 dynamic, so you’d want to be aware of that. If you have a long load (over 6‘ or so) you might consider also front and rear anchors. If you’re going to use it for hauling posts and etc, I’d recommend the silver finish. The black Yakima powdercoat scratches super super easily. You can see the scratches in mine from the pictures, that’s just from a bit of sand that was apparently on kayaks that I loaded on there, in only 10-12 uses or so over a span of six months.
