Costco members in the states can get a discount on the Bolt. Do you think this will ever come to Ontario? I'm not anxious to put myself on a long waiting list. Especially, when the dealerships don't have 2018 pricing yet. So I am wondering if it might be worth waiting until I can get a Costco discount.

Very unlikely. Costco up here has that marketing and rebate deal with Ford and no word of that relationship ending anytime soon. The Costco auto program in the US has been running for a while and is very different in nature (dealerships will contact Costco members with their member price, which is a discount but individuals report being able to negotiate even better prices on their own). Basically, the Costco discount in the US is a price where dealers are readily willing to sell to anyone, through mild negotiation. In Canada, we're not going to see discounts on Bolts at the dealerships any time soon until they actually have stock that sits, waiting for buyers.

And the election that will happen by June, at the latest, could have a negative effect on the EV rebate program. I would expect a change in government, most likely Conservative, and wouldn't expect them to continue the incentive at the same level. This should be the bigger factor to consider.
