What should I look for as far as potential damage caused by sitting stored outdoors for the past year at the factory vs at the dealership? flat spots on tires? cracked plastic interior? split leather? 12V battery? what else? does anyone know if the factory has inspected, replaced, or repaired such items in order to sell as new?

Lot rot isn't a huge deal on an EV. As long as rodents or bees didn't get in, the car is probably fine.

I would make sure of a couple things:

1. When you are driving on a quiet street with no traffic, put the car into neutral and brake to a stop. Repeat this a few times. If the car is shuddering or making noises, then you might need new rotors or other brake parts.

2. Make sure you have all the latest software updates installed. The "unable to shift" issue might get you if the dealer ignores the TSB.

I bought two trucks that were over a year old. One was orderd for Pemex and it stayed near coast on train so it had salt damage. Other stayed next to railway line. It had rust dust on it.

My EUV needed a new accessory battery. Dealer supplied it just prior to delivery. I’ve not had any issues so far, at 2 months ownership and 1700 miles.

Added in edit: I did have a blowout on my drivers side rear tire.

I bought an EUV this month that lot lounged for a year. The advice already presented is right on. Pop the hood and check the orange wires, wipers, and tires. I did notice a build up of dust by the windshield but that’s about it.
My wipers are the only thing I noticed. They already "chatter" a bit, and brand new wipers don't (or shouldn't) do that. Lot-rotted wipers will do that though. I'm having a bit of a challenging time though finding aftermarket wipers that fit exactly (driver side 24" & passenger side 16" with O.E.M.-style attachments). I'd rather not spend almost $80 to buy them from Chevrolet. I'd rather buy some Rain-X Expert Fit Beam blades for like $15 each, but I cannot seem to find them in the passenger side length yet. I don't want weird plastic adapters that make the wiper arm sit up higher above the windshield. I guess that's an issue with a new vehicle (and one that didn't have previous generations): Aftermarket parts are slow in being released.

Thanks All -- I took delivery last evening -- the only noticeable issues were the chrome on the door handles on passenger side appeared a bit aged -- and a bit of dust or pollen on a few surfaces under the hood -- the dealer stated in writing they had inspected the tires, so if that becomes an issue I have some recourse - and also claimed the factory took care of the "new" 12V battery while "dealer-promising" to replace the 12V if it dies on me -- this particular dealer is not doing market adjustment pricing (he says so customers will come back next time) and knows I'll be looking for a Silverado EV, so he has the incentive to make good on the EUV

I bought a new 2021 Premier back in May of this year. A few small stains on the seats. When I detailed the car using clay bar I noticed some of the Chrome looked like it had rust. The clay bar and wax fixed it. Other than that, after 8,000 miles on the odometer everything seems to be working.

My 1st black paint car is my brand new 2022 Bolt EV2LT in OCT. I decontaminated and hand polished in the 1st week of ownership. Sooth as silk, and perfect. I have noticed that the paint, and plastics seem quite soft. Has anyone else noticed how the swirls in, swirls out, on their 2022 are? Soft paint is new to me, as my vehicles before were very used pick-ups.
