Just checked Plugshare yesterday to check the status of local DCFC stations, and found that a bunch, if not all Harley Davidson Dealerships are getting DCFC stations, presumably for their new line of E - Motorcycles.

No a single DCFC at a Harley Location within 150 miles of Harley's Corp HQ in Milwaukee. Unbelievable. I knew I lived in a effed up state, but this is pathetic. I couldn't use them anyway, nor need them, but for the sake of the community at large I was hoping to see something exciting. On other unrelated news, my utility company for my state is reporting that in 2021 they hope to offer rebates for home owners getting EVSE's. That's something!

I went and tested one near Reading Pa. It was up and running and free to all depending on after closing access.

They let me use it and I was not driving a Live-Wire so yes anybody can use them. I posted the pictures on Plug share and I posted the picture of it below. And yes I was charging @ 22kw. It is Classic HD @ Leesport PA. The side of the unit says KeyWatt. on the side of it but the front has a charge point card activator.

Yeah, the KeyWatt is the standard name of the IES Synergy (of France) 24 kW DCFC that are usually found as the "ChargePoint Express 100" boxes. They have been re-branded (different colors/paint) for various vendors, such as BMW and Chevy, and now, apparently, for H-D. Hopefully they have figured out (and fixed) all of the design problems (many of these boxes were down for months last year due to safety and/or reliability concerns).

It depends on the dealer. Some are posted "motorcycles only"
I charged for the first time today at the Harley dealer near me, for whatever reason I wasn't able to activate the charger with my phone so I had to order a RFID card from ChargePoint but once I got that I was able to make the charger activate and charged for about 10 minutes at ~22kW. Stopped because it wasn't really convenient for me to charge there I just wanted to see if it would work.

Granted this was a few hours before their opening time.

Only one other entry on PlugShare for that site and that person (also a Bolt owner) said their were not able to charge because the charger is for "Harleys only". Not sure if that person showed up during business hours (where there are always motorcycles parked blocking this charger).

One of the employees showed up for work during the brief time I was there charging and he did look at me but did not approach or say anything.

One popped up at the HD dealer near my work...I've used it several times. Once I was approached by an employee, and I thought "uh-oh..." But he just wanted a picture of me smiling in the car. We talked EVs for a bit and the upcoming HD E-cycle, though he didn't know much about it.

This particular one is accessible and powered 24/7 for now...coupla fast food joints nearby.

Looks like the HD chargers are meant to be public.. but not 100% sure.

Edited: the other link was wrong..

Toward the last paragraph it says 'public chargers'

Raitchison: you said the charger was on the Chargepoint network? Was it free?
If they are charging money.. I don't see them turning people away unless there's a line of eletric HDs waiting or something.

So you

So you live in Milwaukee? I remember going on a class trip through the Harley plant. I'm sure that could never happen now. :-(
Harley has many factory tours still running to this day. They just did a huge EV Motorcycle day where people could test drive them. I think they had close to 100 bikes to demo. Yes, I live in the suburbs of Milwaukee.

Plugshare shows the HD dealer I drive past everyday has a DCFC, though I haven't looked for it myself. It's about 3 miles from my L2 charger equipped house and 1 mile from my L2 charger equipped workplace, so the chances of me ever needing to use it are pretty slim. I'd really like more fast chargers 100-150 miles from home where they might make road trips more practical.

If Kenosha is considered a suburb of Milwaukee, then I live in the suburbs of Milwaukee too.
