Delayed Charge / Utility Rate Charging Dilemma

Welcome. I too can't help and wouldn't even be able to help w/earlier Bolts ('17 to '21).

To me, the charging timer UI on Bolt is really complicated vs. what I had on my former two former '13 Leaf SV. I almost never used Bolt's timer/delayed charging UI since I almost never charged at home anyway.
Fortunately I don’t need to worry about timing my charging, but on my 2015 Leaf S, setting the timer is ridiculously complicated. Much simpler on the SV.

Fortunately, I don’t need to worry about timing my charging, but talk about an example of where Tesla is light years ahead.

The most obvious capability missing from the charging screen on my 23 EUV is a simple setting to tell it when I want it to START charging. I would always have it start at 9:01pm, when my rate goes down.

I would like to hope that the computer and software in the Bolt is capable of being updating to add minor features like this, which leaves two possibilities:

— GM doesn’t want to devote the time and money to make changes like this.

— The hardware / software isn’t capable.

As much as I would love updates to be free, I would pay $99 for an annual update if it brought lots of enhancements etc. (Not a required annual subscription, just a one-time charge you could opt in to; choose to wait a year and get two years worth of updates for $99, etc)

I know many people would not want to pay, but if the enhancements were super worthwhile, and this path was the only way to get GM to exert the expense and effort…

'23 should look like the above.

'17 to '21 Bolts had VERY different infotainment system UI and even physical controls.

If one is curious,
is what the timer UI looked like for all '11 to '15 Leaf SV and SL trims. Start at 0:23.

The video doesn't mention it but IIRC, you didn't need both the start and end times, if you didn't want them. You can just put start or end. If you do end only, it'll calculate when it needs to start.

The above is SO much simpler than what Bolt has, albeit less feature rich.

'13 to '15 Leaf S trims had a simpler timer than the above with fewer features but was super awkward to set/adjust. It was pretty sucky and I never had one of those. Those cars didn't have a nav system so you couldn't get that UI nor any touchscreen UI to set the timers.
It does that under Utility Rate Charging section. Your off peak should be set for 9PM and it will start at that time.
Good point, thanks. (I’ve only bought my EUV a few days ago). That should do the trick, but I still stand by my point that it was a setting option that GM should have included.
