Yes, there may be some capacity loss from age, but how does that affect the reserve?
I guess that depends on how they specify the reserve. Is it a specific number of amp hours, or watt hours, or a percentage of full charge. Who knows?

This is when it went DEAD...was a few feet from charger luckily zero percent for sure.
note that I got at least 15 miles worth of warnings...started when battery was down at about 6%


62kwh and 171miles (cold weather) ...sounds higher than reported by others?

car is only 1000 miles old....did not use the hill reserve so car was at 100%when I started.
Obviously the range after the computer shows 0 miles left will vary depending on driving conditions, but this suggests that in warmer weather you might get more than 5 miles past the 0 remaining miles left.

6% of 60 KwH is 3.6 Kwh. That probably roughly translates into your 15 miles of post-warning distance.

Perhaps it's safe to assume people have about 3.6 kWh remaining capacity at the 6% warning, and can spend those electrons accordingly.
