Bolton - in a posh British accent!
POSH = Port side Out ; Starboard side Home.
Early days of the Suez Canal there was a chance of getting shot at from one side of the canal .
The rich bought the POSH ticket.

And Sparky is my GF's name for the Spark EV. Claiming Rights.
Same as is ever was. Way before there even was a Bolt.
What car was the father of the Bolt?

Just wondering. My F-150's nickname is "Susan", and I've been trying to decide on a nickname for my Bolt.

It's "Lady Jane Gray", Queen of England for 3 days! We're sure our Bolt EV will be good for many years. The name also fits the the Slate Gray color.

Evie. It just fits.

We might have come up with a name (perhaps Evie, perhaps Usain), but when we got our Bolt it turned out that it already had a name. In my state, standard license plates are a number, three letters, and then three more numbers. The numbers 1,5 and 8 look enough like I, S and B that a regular license plate can sometimes look like like a custom one spelling a word, at least in a “once you see it, you can't unsee it” sense.

Unfortunately, this means I can't tell you the name of our car without also revealing its license plate.

But I can show you how it would work, as an example, 80TJ085 is BOTJOBS.

Currently I have two Bolts. We call one the "old Bolt" and the second we call "new Bolt"
😃 😃 😃
(And NO plagiarizing our names... ha ha)

Actually, it was because the port side was the shady side of the ship travelling from England to India and the starboard side was the shady side on the return voyage. Pasty English people couldn't take the tropical sun.

I was told this trivia bit when I worked for this bloke from England.

Your theory doesn't seem right.
The canal is North-South. Both side of the boat would get sun and shade during a day.

Who knows? I'm not googling it....;)

Bolt From The Blue.
Not just because of the color, but because it sort of came out of nowhere. Or at least, my decision to act and get the car was swift, and hadn’t been on my radar (was considering other EV options for months beforehand).
