I searched a good bit and did not find anything this specific on Bolt seats.
If I missed something, my apologies, and links to relevant discussions are welcome. Please and thank you.

I have a new-to-me 2019 Premium, love it so far, it's like new.

Last night, as I sat down in the driver's seat and pivoted in, I heard a bit of a crunching noise.
As I felt along the edge/corner of the curved bolster, it is clear that whatever plastic structural component there is under the leather has cracked/fractured down toward the bottom.
I felt the other side and the same areas on the passenger-side seat, and they are intact.

I have no way of knowing if I caused this at that time, but I don't believe I did.
I'm small-statured, and don't know what kind of force/repetition it might take to break this, but it seems clear it is broken.

So, questions:
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is it worth repairing or is it possible to repair it?
(I am specifically wondering if the side bolster air bag might be a problem in this case.)
Given that I bought a factory-certified model, what is the chance such a repair might be covered by the warranty?

There's at least one forum member that had the plastic seat back break and fixed it.

Thanks. Not the same thing I'm dealing with, perhaps I need to get some photos to accompany the description.

It is interesting to see what's under the covering - and I'm having a hard time matching what I feel with what I am seeing there with his photos.

I have seen that seats are a common issue and lots of folks discuss modifying them to make them more comfortable.

Given that it's a factory certified model, I'm guessing you have some sort of warranty. If so, I'd take it in and just state you noticed it. I wouldn't mention how you thought you might have broken it. :) For what's it worth, I've had my 2017 Premium for about six months and I haven't noticed this but, I'm not too surprised - the seats seem to be narrower and a bit more fragile than other cars. Keep us posted.
