So, at the Burlington Mall in Burlington MA we have the Evgo chargers.
I don't use them but many do, so i have not ever looked at it much.

There is also an EA (electrify America) station coming soon too. I just figured that it would be put where the new construction was going up on the other side of the mall from the Evgo stations. And that is where the Pop up for 'Coming soon" was put (I think by EA). Was hoping for the 350kW stations.

So yesterday someone noticed that on the Evgo station says EA sticker on it. Hmmm, look back to a pic posted in Sept and yup, it's there too. These seem to be the ABB built machines. At other Simon malls there are Evgo stations, some as early as 2017 have the EA stickers on them, some don't.

I have emailed EA this morning to find out what is going on and will go there a bit later to look at it to see if it is being billed through Evgo or what.

Then as I start to look around the webz for info, I see
"Three companies were selected to build, operate and maintain these sites to be located at workplaces and multi-unit dwellings. SemaConnect, EV Connect and Greenlots are the companies that were chosen to work with developers, office building managers and other potential site hosts in six California metropolitan areas – Fresno, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose – as well as in Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, Raleigh, Seattle and Washington, DC."

So not sure if this includes Evgo too.
Evgo machines here were all mostly built by ABB which I believe someone post about a while ago. Sorry it didn't mean much to me at the time and I just figured it was not a Evgo builder because I am ignorant and didn't look.

Anyone else have these stickers on Evgo stations ? OR does anyone know if at other Simon malls they are upgrading the evgo stations ?

Electrify America and EVgo are different entities, and I'm not sure why EVgo chargers would have Electrify America stickers on them. So far, of the Simon Group outlet malls that I know of, one has both EA and EVgo (Livermore), one has EA going in but no EVgo (Pismo Beach), and one has EVgo but no sign of EA announced as of yet (Camarillo). In all cases, they are separate and unique providers that happen to both have parking spaces allotted to them by Simon Group.

If there are EA stickers on EVgo chargers, it's probably a bit of trolling. Or, what you are looking at are EA chargers, and the EVgo chargers are somewhere else at the location.

Not looking at the wrong thing. I am at this mall a lot and have been useing the chargers since they opened in I think 2015. Oh and I live like 2 miles from here.

EA is only working in Chicopee (far far west of the state). These Evgo have been here, 1st with lower kW machines and then updated sometime last year I think to the higher kW output. Not 350kW though.

Here is the location we are talking about. https://www.plugshare.com/location/62531

Here is another Simon mall spot that has better pics and older dates of the stickers. Back in Feb 2018 it says EA on it

The mall that has both EA and Evgo, are they Far apart? As in on different sides of the mall? Or are they next to each other... curious.

here is an article and the pic is what we are seeing.

This is why I emailed EA to find out what is going on.
no word back yet but will let you know when I do
It does appear that some of VW's dieselgate fines were paid to the states directly with the understanding that the states themselves could decide how the funds would be used. If those funds had to be routed through Electrify America, I suppose it's possible that any EVgo stations that were paid for using those funds could have "Electrify America" stickers on them.

However, the site you are referencing will have an additional Electrify America site installed soon. It will be separate from EVgo, and it will use EA's payment network (as opposed to EVgo's).

Correct, there are a few people that are thinking other wise. But I know, or thought I did, that with the new construction on one side that it would go there. People posted that do not live in the area so they don't know, no biggie.

Evgo was funded because of a Faux Pas in California, I believe. EA did not fund Evgo here originally. And if what you think happened with funding, I would like EA to tell me for sure.

Indeed. Oregon is using the bulk of the funds to pay companies to replace aging diesel buses with new diesel buses
As an EV driver my first reaction was "They're taking our money and using it to put diesels on the road!" But thinking it through, probably the most effective way to reduce the pollution caused by diesels, which was what got VW in hot water to begin with.

There was a small percentage set aside to build out charging infrastructure and pay for EV education, but there are some noises being made to "re-allocate" those funds.

Same in NY. A portion of the EA funds that NY received are being allocated to level 2 EVSE's in semi-private conditions among other things. I'll see what I can find for a break out of how much is going where if possible.

Same in Arizona - replacing old school buses. The replaced buses will have to have their engines drilled and their frames cut. They will never be able to go back on the road and pollute again. From having followed some of the old busses and seen their exhaust, this is a very good thing. :)

https://www.electrifyamerica.com/si...ss Release for National EVgo May 8 2017_0.pdf

“HERNDON, Virginia (May 8, 2017) – Electrify America, LLC announced today that its first project under the National ZEV Investment Plan will be a partnership with EVgo to install 52 upgraded or new electric vehicle chargers in seven U.S. cities. The project will add new Direct Current (DC) Fast Chargers to existing electric vehicle charging station sites. It will also upgrade existing single standard (Chademo) DC Fast Charging Stations by adding the ability to charge using Combined Charging Standard (CCS).

These projects are in line with the National ZEV Investment Plan finalized on April 12, 2017. Seven major metro markets across the country will receive upgraded or new DC Fast chargers as a result of this initiative, including: Philadelphia, Seattle, Chicago, Denver, Washington DC, Boston and New York.

As outlined in the National ZEV Investment Plan, Electrify America has committed to engaging and partnering with many existing vendors and suppliers in the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure space. Electrify America will use EVgo Services LLC as the project management company. Charging hardware will be provided by BTC Power and ABB Inc.

These new chargers will provide greater access to current CCS-compatible vehicles from five vehicle manufacturers. In addition, Chademo-compatible vehicles from four vehicle manufacturers will experience improved charge times due to the increased kW output from these upgraded chargers. Electrify America and EVgo also will add new DC Fast Chargers to high potential sites.”
